New Addition: Lily the Kitten

This is Lily the kitten soon to be to be Lily the Cat. She is
the newest addition to our family. Being a young cat, she
is full of energy and trouble. She is definitely bad to the bone
and has an appetite to devour everything.

The time will come 

when, with elation

you will greet yourself arriving

at your own door, in your own mirror

and each will smile at the other's welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat

You wil love again the stranger who was yourself.

Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart

to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored 

for another, who knows you by heart.

Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photographs, the desperate notes,

peel your own image from the mirror.

Sit. Feast on your life.

Creative Process: Final Mood Board

It has been a very long since I have last written but I am glad to say that there has been changes and progress towards what I wanted to accomplish this last year. One of those things being branding of  Foolishly Wise. I will share process shots along the way, for now I am sharing the mood board.

I had shared some preliminary images that inspired the mood board you see now. Those images highlight aspects that inspire adventures, the wild face of nature, working with your hands, clean product packaging with simple colours, featured beautiful handwriting, and beautiful patterns. The final mood board features the same but adds a bit more love of travel, being near and far, the wild, urban cities, and the quiet wonder of home. 

In a single sentence I would say that Foolishly Wise is inspired by the love of travel and adventure, the love of nature, small moments of daily life and working hard, urban cities and the rural country, and clean design with exquisite handwriting and patterns.
